With over 25 years of experience, Juliet Craig is involved in all aspects of SEC's project planning and delivery, ensuring excellent quality and high standards.
Juliet Craig is Registered Professional Biologist and a Professional Agrologist who brings a collaborative and innovative mindset to a wide range of ecological projects. In addition to her biological expertise, Juliet contributes a set of communication skills that are a refreshing and invaluable asset to any project requiring professional planning and facilitation. She has over 25 years of experience in ecology and in outreach and educational services that address ecological issues in communities where public awareness is critical. She conducts work on invasive plants, citizen science, and bat conservation.
Juliet has earned a Master of Science degree in ethnobotany from UVic and a Bachelor of Science in wildlife ecology from SFU. Since 2005, she has written numerous reports for provincial and local government and for non-profit organizations. Juliet has been a consulting biologist for the BC Community Bat Program, Central Kootenay Invasive Plant Committee, Columbia Basin Fish and Wildlife Compensation Program, Kootenay Community Bat Project, and Columbia Basin Environmental Education Network. She is currently the Program Manager for the Kootenay Conservation Program.
Wildlife has held Juliet’s interest since she was a young girl. Her enthusiasm for wildlife has taken her around the world to work on projects on snowshoe hares, night snakes, spotted bats, kangaroos, orangutans, and chimpanzees. In 2002, she fulfilled her childhood dream of seeing all of the great apes of the “Tri-Mates” in the wild. When not working, Juliet enjoys camping and exploring with her two small children.
